The GUUD story
Charlene dedicated the first 15 years working for the Ministry of Justice but always had a passion for architecture and interior design. After raising four children and selling off her property portfolio post lockdown. The Guud co was founded to restore a service in the property industry that appears to have been lost to the average estate agent.
Now with over 10 years in agency; Charlene’s reputation in the industry is undisputed. Our business has been built on the back of our clients’ respect for her integrity and straightforward approach to everything we do as a brand.
As a mum of four children and a portfolio of six HMO’s I found myself working tirelessly in the run up to the pandemic. Only during this lockdown did I decide to work smarter and not harder. Selling our family home to move to the countryside I found myself in a broken chain of sales. That’s when I decided to rent a home until the industry settled again. What I discovered was the astonishing poor service, lack of communication, dishonesty and just very little empathy to an already stressful situation. Post covid; businesses have folded by 23% in 2021 Causing owners to sell their homes and move into the rental market. This has increased the demand for short term lets to 140% and long term lets to 38% compared to the year before. Rents have risen by 22% year on year according to The Guardian.
